PRIVATE DIVING LESSONS
We are thrilled to offer private diving lessons at Merrimack, home of the championship-winning Dive Team! Lessons are taught by our expert dive team coaches, and prior diving experience is not required. Private diving lessons are given in a fun and supportive environment, and they are a perfect way for children to learn how to use the diving board safely. They’re also great for anyone ready to develop fundamentals, such as front and back dives. What’s more, instructors can help advanced divers who want to increase their skills.
SIGN UP FOR LESSONS
ELIGIBILITY
Lessons are only for registered Merrimack accounts. The account member taking the lesson must be *a paid swimmer* on a family’s Merrimack account. They also must be able to swim the length of the pool.
INSTRUCTORS
Instructors offering private lessons at Merrimack Pool are pool members and coaches on the Dive Team. Only Dive Team coaches are allowed to give private diving lessons at Merrimack. Instructor bios are provided on the Sign Up website.
FEES
Lessons are $30 for a 30-minute session. If you’d like an hour lesson ($60 for the hour), you can book two back-to-back 30-minute sessions. Coaches can offer private lessons to siblings at the same time; the rate for sibling lessons is $30 for each 30-minute block. In addition, two non-related children (no more) may schedule a session together; the fee remains the same—$30 for each 30-minute session.
PAYMENT
Payment directly to the instructor is expected by Venmo, Paypal, or check (no cash) when the lesson is over.
BOOKING A LESSON
When booking give your name, the name of your child, and your telephone number. Please book at least one day in advance. Also, make sure you click SAVE on the banner at the top to ensure all your spots are saved. Lessons may be moved or canceled because of inclement weather. Please note instructors will likely respond more quickly to texts than emails.
